Fantastic coffee machine! Just like visiting a real café. The only thing letting it down is that Ninja doesn’t include the (necessary) knock box which feels like they are being a bit cheap - when you’re spending £500, it feels like being nickel-and-dimed.

Relatively simple to use. Helpful support people. However, I struggled to use the 4 shot lux basket as it refused to grind enough coffee. Video call support, so they could see exactly what I was doing. Sent replacement parts, same result. After wasting a huge amount of time of coffee they suggested I return it for a full refund. I eventually found an independent guide which, very briefly suggested an extra step that the guide, videos and support people missed. You need to also select “quad” as a further option, despite the machine recognising the basket.
The drip tray is frustratingly too small and often overflows. I suspect some regular used parts are out of stock, like the water filter.
The coffee made is good. It appears to be excellent value relative to other machines which either do less or cost much more. Overall, I am happy but it could be so much better. The milk steamer wand is always needing cleaning : it should be insulated so the milk doesn’t bake on. The drip tray needs to have much higher capacity.

This is truly cafe-quality coffee at home! Although I'm not quite as passionate about coffee as my wife, this machine has encouraged me to drink more. The reason? I have complete control over the quality, especially the strength of the coffee. I can adjust everything—how much milk, frothing, and other ingredients—to my liking.

Excellent coffee machine. Easy to operate and makes excellent coffee (depending on the quality of the coffee beans you bought).
I use it for cappuccino in the morning and espresso in the afternoon and evening. (4-5 operations a day). Regular use of the double basket.

Amazing quality coffee machine. Well made and sturdy but quite heavy.
Comes with starter pack, including cleaning accessories, tamper, funnel, different sized baskets, portafilter and quick start guide with some simple recipes.
I love this coffee machine, but it took me a bit of time to learn how to operate is. Is not that simple at first.
    Needs full coffee grounds.
There are different coffee sizes and types to choose. Freshly grounded coffee tastes and smells delicious. I can't start a day without it in the morning.
Great addition to any kitchen. Pricey but well worth it. 100% recommended.

I love my coffee, I have various grinders, presses (Aero and French), Moka Pots, V60's, electric grinders, manual grinders, milk frothers, hand whisks, latte stencils, and a coffee subscription. I like my coffee.

What I've always wanted was a bean to cup machine, but couldn't ever really justify the price (I've seen some for over a grand!). Work had one installed and it is tremendous, but it is obviously one of those industrial ones, which has a touchscreen, and goes from bean to cup in seconds. This only served to add to my yearning for a home machine.

Then one bleary eyed morning, I saw Vine was offering me the chance to nab this Ninja Luxe Premier 3-in-1 bean to cup machine. My heart pounding as I placed my order and it went through.

One the day of delivery, this HUGE box appeared, and it was heavy. Much heavier than expected. However, on unboxing, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as big as I thought it was, given the size of the packaging. I sat perfectly on the countertop.

Read the instructions, they are easy to follow, there's a main booklet, a quick guide, QR codes, and other bits and bobs. As I was new to the whole "bean to cup" system, it was a mildly daunting, however, the instructions where clear.

I soon had the system installed, flushed (with water), filter in place, and calibrated for my particular coffee bean of choice (currently a Meso-American blend).

In next to no time, following instructions, I had my first latte and it tasted like a real latte, a one you get in real coffee shops.

The machine has multiple grind settings, and the clear display will tell you the best setting for your bean and particular drink you're wanting to make. The milk frother also has multiple settings from steamed milk all the way to full frothy goodness, of a consistency that you may see at student foam parties!

Once over some initial, but minor, hurdles, this Ninja is SO easy to use with little input from yourself when brewing.

Each time I go to use it for a coffee I am excited, as the whole process is such fun, from griding to tampering the grounds, from attaching the portafilter to the group head to brewing your coffee, from adding milk to the frother and attempting to make art from the milk froth, this is SUCH fun.

I swear, this thing is so good that IF I didn't already have one, I'd be ordering one right now.

Sure, some people may be put off by the price, but, seriously, the prices of similar machines are eye watering. This Ninja comes in at the lower end.

So, are there any negatives? Yes, yes there are. The funnel. There is a plastic funnel that you need to clip onto the portafilter to be able to attach to the system to receive your grounds. It feels fragile, and a quick look online reveals that this part breaks easily. There are sellers on Etsy selling 3D printed funnels, and each time I look on the Ninja site, the funnel is forever "out of stock". As such, I am SO careful with the funnel, as without it you have a big coffee smelling paperweight.

I ordered the Ninja Luxe Premier 3-in-1 Coffee Machine. This is a brilliant coffee machine. I was surprised at how compact it is. I previously had 3 separate machines for coffee bean grinding, milk frothing and coffee making, but this coffee machine can do all of those things. You put your beans in the compartment and you put whatever milk you want into the jug. All the controls are touchscreen at the front and quite easy to use. I know what grind sizes I like for different coffees but if you are not sure it will recommend one for you. I like the option to put a travel cup under the coffee machine, this is great for just grabbing a coffee to take to work. Because it grinds the beans fresh, the taste is much better. I was a bit nervous about cleaning it, but it comes with a cleaning kit and some parts go in the dishwasher. I will soon get the hang of it. This is a fantastic all in one coffee machine and I can definitely recommend it.

I absolutely love this Ninja espresso maker! This is the second barista machine I have owned and it is by far the best. Not only does it make fantastic lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and espressos, but it’s also incredibly easy to use—and dare I say, FUN! (Is it weird to feel excited about your morning coffee?).

First of all the machine comes with clear printed instructions along with a great recipe book for different coffees and what you need to do to create them. I chose to set the machine up and learn how to use it via the instructional video that you can access by scanning the barcode sticker on the machine (that easily peels off when you’re done with it!). The video was brilliant, it really helped both me and my wife to follow along and it didn't take long until we had our coffee creations down to a fine art.

The machine is incredibly clever, it works out the grind size and consistency for you, so you don't need to be an expert barista to make amazing-tasting coffee. My favourite cuppa is a latte or a caramel macchiato and so my absolute favourite feature is the milk frother with its four automated froth presets!! It's blooming brilliant! And gives me the perfect milk consistency for my caffeine hit of choice.

What really sets this machine apart is how simple it is to use. I can effortlessly switch between different coffee styles and get perfect results with minimal effort. The silver design looks great in my kitchen - unlike other appliances you won't want to hide it away in a cupboard, if you're like me, you’ll want to show it off., And the process of making coffee has actually become an enjoyable ritual rather than a chore. Every cup tastes rich, smooth, and full of flavour. I really can’t recommend this machine highly enough! It cleans up easily and even has places to store your accessories inside of it. If you’re after a coffee machine that makes coffee like the big brands with ease then you will not be disappointed. It’s made my coffee routine feel a little more luxurious and a lot more fun. Highly recommend! I would give it more stars if I could.

This is going to be a long one. Before I mention anything about this machine, I'll start by saying that you must use fresh coffee beans with this. Supermarket coffee beans just aren't good enough for espresso. You won't get good results, and may well blame the machine for the bad tasting coffee. You need to source good beans that have a known and recent roasting date. What you get out greatly depends on what you put in.

    Anyway...

If you're looking for a coffee machine that takes a lot less user input than a standard manual machine. Then this is a pretty good option. It would be perfect for someone who's not interested in dialling in a grind setting, or weighing/timing the espresso out vs coffee in. It does a good job at removing those steps, without compromising too much on the espresso.

Compared to my manual machine, you do a lot less work. You don't have to think about grind size. You don't have to learn how to steam milk (although you might be disappointed in the auto steamer). You don't have to monitor flow rate or even the dosing of coffee. It's all done for you. It's about as hands off as it gets.

I've found the guidance for grind size to be mostly spot on too, when making espresso. It takes a few shots to find the best setting that works. But I haven't had any real issues with it being way too coarse or way too fine. It just works. From shot to shot, everything is pretty consistent when you land on that optimal setting. Espresso wise, the results are pretty good.

There are a few downsides to the machine though. And they're really worth taking into account when deciding on a machine that's right for you.

My biggest issue so far is the auto milk steaming. Compared to steaming milk on my manual machine, the results are quite dismal. The first setting I used was the medium froth setting. It came out looking like a bubble bath and the production of a micro foam was non existent. The second time I tried the max foam setting, for a cappuccino. It came out way too thick, even with pouring between milk pitchers, it was still too thick and not incorporated fully (Extremely thick head on top of lots of thin hot milk). There was no micro foam either. The bubbles were very big and started fizzing away upon pouring it into my coffee. It looked worse than my first ever attempt to manually steam milk. The auto steaming process takes forever too. Well over 2 minutes, which feels like an eternity when all you want to do is drink coffee. Not to mention the espresso is sat cooling down the entire time the machine is frothing away.

I've spent a bit of time with the milk frother, trying different milks to see what works. Been through multiple pints of cows milk and oat milk. None of the settings I've tried have resulted in good steamed milk. Not when comparing to the results I get when manaully steaming on my other machine. I think if you're coming into this having never steamed milk before, you'll likely be satisfied with what it produces. But this is never going to come close the results you get when manually steaming milk yourself.

The dosing funnel also feels quite cheap. If this breaks there's no way to run the machine without it. If it's not on top of the portafilter when grinding, the machine won't grind coffee. It feels like it's one accidental drop from cracking, too. Thankfully replacements are available, but still, a higher quality funnel would have been nicer.

Another concern is the grinder's motor. Compared to my Sage dose control pro, it seems really underpowered. I could hear it struggling when trying to grind light roasted beans. Something I've never experienced on a good quality, dedicated grinder. There's also no manual burr adjustment either, for when the burrs wear. Longevity wise, time will tell.

The tray that your cup sits on is also too small. The portafilter has a double spout, yet fitting 2 of my espresso cups on the tray is impossible. And 2 cappuccino cups is out of the question entirely. So I can't pull a quad shot and divide it into 2 doubles. It's not like my espresso cups are large either. They're very small, only big enough for a 40g double shot. It's a little disappointing, as being able to pull a quad shot is something my other machine can't do. At least not without buying a new portafilter and basket first.

It also seems to fill the drip tray very fast. This has a fairly large drip tray too, yet I'm emptying it after just 3 drinks. A huge waste of water in my opinion. It's also in two pieces, designed so you can remove the middle section and fit a travel cup under the portafilter. So you actually have 2 drip trays to manage. The main one is a weird shape too and it's annoying to clean. The second small middle tray also has no full indicator.

It's very impractical to single dose beans too, as the machine takes a lot of the grinding control away from you. This means beans kind of just have to sit in the hopper, so that you don't run out mid grind. Which is fine for some people. But I like to keep mine in an air tight vacuum jar to preserve their freshness. You can manually purge coffee beans, but you have to hold the button down to do so. A bit annoying, even for only a double shot, as grinding takes a good while. And I feel like it defeats the purpose of the machine too. So if you want to have fine control your coffee dose, I'd look elsewhere (manual machine + dedicated grinder combo).

To conclude, this a practical machine if you don't want to use a manual one. It's probably one of the better ways to make good espresso at home with almost no input. My wife, for instance, doesn't really like using our manual machine. And asks me to make the majority of her drinks. But this is a lot less daunting for someone like her, who isn't interested in the process of making coffee and dialling in a bean. She just wants a drink. And she can easily make drinks on this that taste ok (still better than any coffee shop chain).

For all of it's faults, it's actually hard not to recommend with how accessible it is. For it's target audience, it's perfect There's not a whole lot else that can compete with this machine, in terms of it's low effort workflow and the espresso that you get out of it. Especially at this price point. You probably already know if you're the type of person who want's to control all aspects of your espresso and milk steaming. But if you don't care about any of that, then this is your machine. If you want full control and better drinks though, I'd recommend learning to use a manual machine with a dedicated grinder. It's not that difficult, and manually dialling in a bean / steaming milk will get you way better results than anything this machine can produce.

Whatever the case, though, just make sure you use fresh beans!!!

What a fantastic machine! This brings the coffee shop home to you, along with that distinctive coffee shop smell.

    Aesthetics:

Aesthetically, I think it's a very attractive machine, of course, this is a very subjective opinion but the chrome/silver and black is a very elegant look and it goes great with the other gadgets in the kitchen. I also love the shape, it's one of the better coffee machines in this regard, and for the amount it can do, it's quite small. I'll give this a 10/10.

    Ease of use:

For the ease of use, it might give someone who've never used a coffee machine a little run around but it shouldn't take too long to get to grips with it. For those who have used one, I think it's pretty intuitive and well thought out. What I love is that it grinds by weight and I think the machine knows exactly what it's doing. Depending what kind of coffee you want, some takes more steps than others, especially for things like an espresso. If you're someone who just walks in the kitchen, boils the kettle and throws it all in a cup, well, this isn't as quick as that, but you're going to get a much better coffee from the machine. There is a lack of dedicated options for Latte's/Cappuccino's etc where some machines have a dedicated button for this, but of course you can still make them, just using the milk frother. 7/10

    Maintenance:

Maintenance is easy enough. I've had a few coffee machines in the years and this doesn't need a lot of work which is nice. Cleaning is easy though, most of it is self-cleaning but the parts you will need to do manually is quick and simple. 8/10

    Noise:

The larger coffee machines can be noisy and this is no different. In fact, the first time I used a large machine I was worried it was broken due to the grindings, rumblings and buzzing's but it's totally normal and I would say this is pretty average in this regard. It's not too loud and since most people don't make coffee at 1am in the morning, I think the sound is well within the average household noise. 7/10

    Versatility:

A very versatile machine, it gives you a beautiful expresso and the options for that are: Expresso, Quad and cold pressed. The Coffee options are: Classic, Rich, Over Ice and Cold brew and you have a milk froth option, from 1 to 4. There's also the grind, giving you the rather intuitive automatic one or up to 25 of your own. As previously said, you can make Americano's, Cappuccino's etc but if you're new to coffee machines you might want to look at a guide for this, but it is easy enough. 9/10

    My Final Thoughts:

This is a remarkable machine that looks great in any kitchen and is great for hosting guests and impressing them with Café-like coffee. The build quality feels great but I cannot speak for the longevity yet, but it does look very well made. There is a lot of options and it's pretty technologically advanced, but that does mean there's more to go wrong. It's not cheap! It's currently at £549 which is a high price to pay just for a coffee, but that coffee is good and if you're in the market for a coffee machine in this price range then I cannot see you going wrong with this. The hardest thing for me is putting a number on it, especially as there's only 5 stars. I would say this is a solid 8.5/10 if not a 9/10 and since I can't do half stars here I will give an overall 5/5. It's not perfect but my reasoning is that 4/5 would be an 8/10 or 80% but I think it deserves more than that.

I'm very happy with it! It's a great product and I absolutely recommend it but if this is out of your price range, it is at the end of the day, just a coffee machine but comparing it to similarly priced products I think this is up there at the top.

    Quick rundown:

Aesthetics - Elegant look with chrome/silver and black finish. Attractive shape and compact size. 10/10

Ease of Use - Intuitive interface, but some steps may be unfamiliar to beginners. 7/10

Maintenance - Easy to clean, with most parts self-cleaning. 8/10

Noise - Average noise level for a large coffee machine. 7/10

Versatility - Offers a wide range of coffee options, including espresso, coffee, Cold Brew and different levels of milk frothing. 9/10

Presentation - Very well presented with everything you need to get started (except the coffee itself. Quick to set up and easy to understand manual. 10/10

Final Thoughts - Remarkable machine with great build quality and café-like coffee. Worth the investment for those looking for a versatile machine. A bit expensive for those who just want a simple cup of Joe. It should be easy for anyone familiar with Coffee Machines, perhaps a little daunting for beginners but there’s plenty of guides to help and doesn’t take long to get adjusted to.
